The objective of Prima-Lux A/S is to be the European market leader of skylight constructions by constantly devoloping and producing the best design and quality in the market.


Design.

Prima-Lux attaches great importance to design, as the skylight is regarded as a part of the expression of a building and therefore it is a natural part of the total building architecture.

The architecture has to have a free expression, as a beautiful skylight - which is designed for the building - produces a feeling of happiness.

The opening sections in a Prima-Lux continuous rooflight are one example, which appear as an integrated part of the total continuous rooflight.

But skylight solutions do not only have to consider the fifth facade of a building, they also have to look beautifully from the inside of the building. The skylight has to fit the room, provide the surroundings with the desired light and contribute to the daily ventilation.

Prima-Lux has devoloped a system programme, where different customer wishes always can be taken into consideration in our production.

In order to offer this option all individual parts of our complete product range are adapted to each other - especially when it comes to assembly details and choice of material.



Quality.

The objective of Prima-Lux is to produce and sell the best quality in the market and through internal quality inspections to prove that this objective applies to all our products.

All stated data has been insured by impartial inspection bodies as e.g. DTU (The Danish Technical University).

Another objective of Prima-Lux is to provide the user with information at a very high level, which makes the user capable of inspecting our products himself. Information is essential for the choice of skylights.

Here is an example of what we mean by documented quality: For many years it has been normal procedure for the manufacturer to give information about the U-value of the glazing alone and not the U-value of the total skylight construction. A polycarbonate sheet with a U-value of 2.7 - built in an aluminium frame - was often considered as a skylight with a U-value of 2.7. The correct U-value of most of these skylights is 4.9. In connection with the U-value calculation the thermal bridge in the aluminium frame and the upstand construction have not been taken into consideration.

This results in additional annual oil consumption of at least 63 litres of oil per square metre of skylight.

The objective of Prima-Lux is documented quality, improvement in total costs and beautiful design.
